| NZ90 JackFlash JackSprat Support Needed Hello everyone, I just purchased a copy of JackFlash. Their newest Beta supports the NZ90 and it works great! almost 4 MB's more memory. I noticed that they are working on a new version of JackSprat. It was somewhat unclear if it would work for the NZ90. While it mentions in the beta documentation that it will remove parts of the Clie's operating system (like the audioplayer, videoplayer, etc.) elesewhere it says it wouldn't work with Sony Os 5.0 PDA's?!?!? They also had a few mistakes where they refered to it as version 2.0 and 3.0 at the same time.
I encourage all NZ90 owners to send Brayder.com an email asking for NZ90 support in the new release. This would go a very long way to clearing up the duplicate Flashplayer/updates in ram problem that kills alot of ram memory in this unit. Once that gets fixed the 16MB memory won't be a hindrance anymore.

| JackSprat does not currently support OS5 Clies, which includes the NZ90. It does, however, support older Clies (OS4) and other OS5 devices, such as the Tungsten T. |

| no offense, but jackflash supporting the nz is very old news, months...
jacksprat will not support the nz, brayder says they need sony to reveal internals of their flash rom and sony will not...
so, don't start everyone to send emails... if you don't believe me, search the forum for the info, or send an email to brayder yourself asking about jacksprat...
good intentions you have.

| Right, JackSprat will not work on the Sony OS5 Clie, ever.

| Sony insanity Ok, I guess It's confirmed that Sony is totally Insane. I have actually sent email to Brayder asking them about Jack Sprat but have not received a response from them.
I have a questions though:
Did Sony give them information in the past? In other words, how do the older models work with the program? If so, why are they not giving the information now?
Maybe we should change the focus of emails. I'm thinking Sony needs to be hit with a ton of registered NZ90 (and other models affected) users asking why they've hampered this unit and why they refuse to share information with a company that is only trying to help their users. I'm sending my email off to Sony today, I encourage others to do so.

| It seemed to all start with OS5. The impression I got from Sony is that they don't want users messing with the factory programmed ROM. This included reprogramming different region Clies although I understand one company in Hong Kong can do it. I remember the compact flash petitons that were circulated for CF memory card driver. Sony eventually came out with it in the NX73/80, but with limited functionality. Whether the petitions had any bearing on it, I can't say. Sony only listened to so much before it got testy.
