camera software alternatives?

I have the NR 70 & love the camera but the pics are so so grainy! I got this cool app called fullscreen, it takes infrared/night vision shots, pretty cool. So I'm wondering if there any alternatives to the standard software. I've changed the brightness/white balance w/ no real improvement.. I have splash photo & acid image for viewers but what about something for taking better (not asking for great) pics.
Thanks for any feedback...

If you want to capture videos you can use VIVID....

the camera is cheap, grainy pictures are probably the best you'll be able to get out of it.
