#1 | | Guest | Documents To Go Complete Frustration Dataviz support sucks so hard I find it difficult to put it into words.
I'm therefore relying on the combined intelligence of you guys to help me out.
I can't use Documents To Go Premium 5 at all. I have an NZ90.
I've created a document from the Documents application. I wanted to create a spreadsheet actually, but I didn't get taht option. So I made a document and saved it. Now even if I press the Done button in the Word To Go app, it doesn't do anything. Selecting any other Documents To Go app just brings up the Word To Go screen with my document. Documents don't sync either.
I bought the package well over two weeks ago and I haven't been able to use it at all. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. | |

| I assume you have Sheets To Go installed, right? Are you able to synchronize files from your desktop to your CLIE? Or are you only having problems synchronizing new files created on your CLIE?
Have you tried removing and re-installing? |

| Also, make sure you have the latest version. 5.004 IIRC.
I've got DTG on a heavily tweaked NX70 and have no problems. |

| Perhaps your DTG programs are not all loaded onto your Clie. If DTG is properly installed on your PC, you can re-install all the Palm progs from the DTG PC program: start the DTG program on your PC and go to "Help/Re-install Handheld Applications". Before you hotsync, check out the Install program and make note of all the DTG files that will be loaded. |

| Where are you trying to store the documents? If you are using the memory stick, then you have to select the card option in the Docs to Go desktop on the PC.
It shouldn't be all that difficult to use?

| I have not had any problems with Docs to Go. It will occasionally duplicate files with a 1 at the end of the name. But I sync to 2 different computers daily. |

| Don't feel bad. I'm having probs too. I have DTG Pre v5.004 (587) on my NX-70V and DTG doesn't see my MS. I tried everything on the DataViz website and in the DTG Help files (on the PC). No Go. And... I've been waiting for a reply from DataViz for over a week now. Grrrrrrrr.......
P.S. Yes--I've uninstalled and re-installed. No--I haven't copied any components to/from the MS with a 3rd party file manager. Yes--all DTG components are in RAM... |

By reviewing my doc files via the desktop DtG program, I have found that it lists 3 different "Cards" as catagories. By looking in each "card" catagory I have found that all the files are listed in one. It might be that DtG is looking for a non-existent card. |

| Hi there,
are the Docs to Go applications in your RAM or in the memory stick? I remember I had the same problem for the longest time too because my applications were in the memory stick and so were the documents. It was only after I transferred the application to the RAM that I was able to sync the documents over to the CLIE.
Am not sure if it will work in your case but you can give it a try. After syncing the documents, you can move/shift them back to the memory stick in a folder which you want to read off. You can also move the application back to the memory stick to free up RAM. It should work generally. |
