Accessories - Charger/Hotsink

The UX50 promises to be a great little machine. I have three questions regarding accessories.

The AC Adapter
Can I use the PEGA AC10 for travel charging? I hope an additional charge will not be necessary. Should I plan to buy a second cradle charger?

The Hotsync USB Cable
Based on the photos, it appers that the cable used is a common one. I use one for the minidisc and digicam. It will be neat that I can sync through the same cable.

Yes, you can use the AC10 with the UX series.

I think it is a standard mini USB cable.

It looks like you will have to take the base thingie with you and plug the adapter into that. I ordered an extra base with my UX to keep in my laptop bag. My laptop bag is getting heavier...and heavier...and heavier...

According to SonyStyle, the PEGA-AC10 is compatible with the UX series.

But sonystyle also includes an "**" footnote, which refers to a statement in small type indicating that a separate cradle, like Avisionary said, is also required to use the AC10. It's pretty cheap, but expected, of sony not to provide the power cable with the extra $49 craddle.

So the PEGA-AC10 plugs into the cradle? I wondered how it would work with the UX series, as it has that non-standard power port.

Why, why didn't Sony just put a standard HotSync port on the UX series? Why?

Thanks guys. It appears that I would need to buy the cradle since I have the AC adapter. Wow this is getting expensive.
