| Hacked CF Driver with software mount Would it be possible to make a porgram similar to the CFUtility included with the Eruware driver for the Hacked NX73/80 driver?
This would be exactly what i need, i love the NX73 driver because it works well with all the Sony Apps, has a good speed, and is very stable. But it lacks the ability to be mounted and unmounted by a software app like the Eruware. I have to manually take it out and put it in. And also with it being mounted all the time my battery does not last as long as it does without it
If this would be possible it would be great, id even pay for this functionallity in the NX73 driver.
Anyone? Is it even possible?
Matt
P.S. what has happened to Eruware???

| EruWare is still around, they are working on some project, but I have no clue as to what it is. I did hear from Amir a day or so ago, in another forum.
EruWare is also limited in what it can do without stepping on toes legally, esp when it comes to hacked drivers. This is me saying that, not EruWare.

Unmounting and remounting a device is very simple (I already do that with AlbumSwap).
Depending on the driver, it may or may not change the battery drain. I'll give it a try and see if it reduces the battery drain like the EruWare driver does when unmounted.

Good question. As a paying Eruware customer I'm a little worried.
I expected them to be at least as capable as the NX73/80 driver by now, but they haven't released anything for months (plural).
I hope they are not just working on a rumored "new project" and haven't abandoned the CF storage driver. |

| CliePet, if you could make such a program that would be excellent
I already use your Album Swap app which is a great little prog!
I would just love to be able to mount and unmount the card without having to do it manually, as i do not use the CF card all the time, and i am sure it drains battery more than the MS
Hope you can bring this new prog to life!

| Isn't there already a program called 'SlotExchange' that lets you mount the MS or CF without having to take them out?
I think I saw it on an article at PDANews 24 recently. heres the link

| Good find mybotethan, but this app only allows you to change the order in which the cards are mounted. It doesnt actually let you mount and unmount the cards

| Please try the quick-and-dirty tool ClieMounter: http://aibohack.com/clie/ClieMounter.prc
Lets you mount and unmount the MS or CF volumes. Please let me know if it doesn't work for you (it assumes a certain order for the devices so may not work in all combinations).
The real question is how much more battery life you get if the CF card is unmounted. That I haven't tried yet. |

| Well it should make a difference. Even when the CF Card is in standby mode it is still using a certain amount of voltage.
Thanks for the app CliePet, your a great guy! Will try it out tonight, and report progress.
Thanks

| This app is great!!
Ive been using it for awhile now and NO errors so far, great work CliePet!
The only prob i have had, is it keeps returning to the Clie Launcher when mounting cards <grrrr>, but this happens to me when i mount the cards manually outside of Zlauncher anyway, so i suppose its unaviodable
Now all this app needs is a slightly better interface and a good logo, lol!
Great work CliePet, im soooooo happy now! All the best bits of Eruware driver in NX driver

#13 | | Guest | Thanks a bunch.
I've been looking for this kind of program (slotexchange)since the first day I installed the cf driver. Some of my programs did not work if i had ms as the first mount and cf as the second mount. I used to physically remove both ms and cf and inserted cf first and ms second to get it working. But I am afraid that could wear out the slots and render it malfunction if i do it more often.
Thanks again for you guys point me to the right direction to download this program. Cliesource rules!!!! | |
