| Cliesource seems to need active moderators lately. But my rule of thumb is that the last person you want in power is the person who asks for it. So neither of you get my vote. Sorry. |

| From my observations, it appears that people who actively participate in these forums and provide timely and accurate information without flaming or belittling mambers (and guests) seem to be placed in the moderator status. For instance, it appears that **yellowrose** has recently been given moderator status. She seems to always provide concise and friendly answers and start useful and informative posts.
So, if you want to be a moderator in my opinion, browse the forums regularly, answer questions as best and accurately as you can, don't flame or troll, and provide us with good and useful information about Clies and other related topics.
Best of luck to you,
David

| Thanks to everyone for your vote and support! However, I feel that there are many more members here that posses much more knowledge about the Palm OS and Clies than I have amassed thus far. The majority of what I have learned, I have learned from right here in my community of Clie enthusiasts. Maybe someday I'll be a Mod, just not ready for it yet.
Thanks,
David

| well, knowledge rules ME out.... though I think the requirement to be born on this planet also rules me out.

#15 | | Guest | seems there are 2 issues here:
how can one help out on cliesource (being a mod is one way, maybe providing reviews is another, etc)
and
how does one become a mod (and here are are differing thoughts)
perhaps the mods/owners can let people know how they can help out on the source (if needed, and besides being a mod or everyday helpful posts)
and explain how for example, yellowrose became a mod - was she asked or did she ask? the critieria and selection should be consistent. | |
