| Visiting the US from Germany. Which Clie should I buy? NZ 90 or NX 70 Hello, I will come for a short visit to the US from Germany in August. At present I own a NR70. I would like to upgrade. With the Euro exchange rates, I can save a lot of money when I buy a Clie in the States. In Germany you have to pay for a NX90 about 900$ (=800Euro). Here I can get one for about 630$ (=560Euro).
But I am not sure which one to buy. I really like the NZ90, but is the battery problem really so bad? Do the patches help? How is the Battery without using the camera. Is there no programm to stop the battery warning?
I really donīt want to buy the newest model, so I donīt care about the annoucements on Friday.
Alternatives would be the NX70 or NX80.
Where would be a good place to buy a Clie in Chicago? Where online?
Thanks for your help and excuse my bad English. I keep learning.
Martin

| Thanks Chrille,
as you have both, which one has the better battery life if you do the same things (not taking photos) on both? And which one is faster? Is the Display of the NZ90 better than the NX70īs?Thanks for your help,
Martin

Martin | I recommend you to take a look at newer NX models.
NX73V instead of NX70.
NX80V instead of NZ90 (if you can live with 1.3MP camera and missing Bluetooth - but you get smaller form factor and longer runtime) |

| NR70 vs NZ90 Hi Martin
I find battery life about the same in general operation with the advantage of using two or more batteries with the NZ ( even though they are expensive) Camera is much better on NZ.
Obviously the new Intel XScale processor is much faster than the Dragonball and the display is also better plus the OS Palm 4 vs 5v.
The only dissadvantage I see with the NZ is that it's bigger and heavier

| Hello Networker,
Did you know, the european version of the NX73 has built in bluetooth and is silver. We can not get a NX80 in Europe.
Sony offers a tourist warranty if I buy a Produkt in the US. 90 days for the work and 12 month for the parts.
The prize for the NX80 and NX90 is about the same in the US. Would you still prefer the NX80?

| I would go with the new NX80!
the camera is great at 1.3 Mega pixels Not as good as the NZ but it is far smaller and is lighter.
It also has the fold away slot for your wifi card or Cf card.
Someone had posted some pitures from the NX80 and they looked great!! http://www.cliesource.com/forums/sh...&threadid=20381
Before you buy in the US have tried buying on line?
pricegrabber.com or something like that.
have fun in the states!!!
there is a lot to see, so don't spend the whole time dorking out on your new clie |

| I have a NX80 and had a NX70. I strongly recommend the NX80. The battery Life is absolutely wonderful! If you are particular about battery life, gett he NX80. I've heard that the NZ90 has major battery problems. After taking a few shots with flashlight enabled, The NZ battery levels drop so much that you can't use the camera/flash anymore. Plus the start up time of the camera is very long. True the NX80 only has a 1.3MP camera. But it beats the NZ hands down with its design, size and batterylife. Plus, there is 16MB of user memory available, and all the large apps that require alot of memory like NetFront has already been pre installed into Rom. The NZ only has 11MB available to the user. Anyway, i just did a picture review of the NX80. Take a look and see if it helps your decision. http://www.cliesource.com/forums/sh...10&pagenumber=1
