You would need a TV tuner first and then Sony would have to license out it's API's. I would seriously doubt that such exists, or at least compact enough to be unintrusive.

sony has shown a memory stick format tv tuner in japan, no production date yet.... search with google: "tv tuner clie"

Yes, I know, but I still feel it's a bit far-fetched before anything realistic is sold on the market. Then again, like a lot of other items, it may be in Japan only. They still haven't put out the WiFi memory stick yet either.

that's why i added that the announcement and showing of a prototype was about a year ago, that usually means they are not intendind to make it, or are having trouble making it...

the initiator of the thread is hearing an old rumour i think...
