You might want to try a blow dryer (COOL SETTING, or hold it far away so as not to heat the PDA. The chemicals in the Windex should allow the moisture to evaporate fairly quickly.

I've got the same problem, although I used Zeiss lens cleaner, which isn't ammonia based like Windex. I'll try using a hair dryer, but if anyone has any other ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Didn't work. So today I sent it off to Palm Medic in Ottawa. I live in Montreal.

Incidentally, Sony service is something else. I went to Maison Sony this morning, and a guy there told me it would take a month to a month and a half for them to fix it. He gave me the name of Hecotron, a company which supposedly fixes Clies. I called them, and was told by someone there to call Sony Service. I called the number, and spent 10 minutes giving this guy some basic information. He gave me an id number and forwarded my call to another number. A voice then informed me that my expected wait time was 29 minutes. At this point I hung up, packed up my Clie, and sent it off by courier to Palm Medic. Wish me luck.

(Ignore this message. The one below is the correct one. I tried to edit this one, and ended up sending off a second one.)

The guy at Palm Medic fixed it, and I'll have it back tomorrow. Total cost: $ 151.10 Canadian, including a new screen, labor, taxes and Xpresspost. I probably could have bought a used N610 for the price, or maybe even a different model used colour Clie with 16 mb built in rather than the 8 on the 610, but this one will have a new screen on it. Besides, I'm attached to it.

It will be great to have it back!
