I want the change the appreance of my NX70 to something more attractive. i have read a lot about the Zlauncher,YXskins Xlauncher ..etc but still don't understand on how it works? I downloaded them to see how they work but the pictures it was supplied was not nice...so i uninstalled them. is there a way for me to change it to something else? sorri for the silly Qs. thanks. oyah 1 more Q, what is the difference when i do a HotSync and files are stored in my backup folder in my PC and if i do a backup on a memory stick ? if i erase all the documents on my Palm, can i just install the SW on the backup folder of my PC..and things should be back to normal /?

You may have to change the file type first, then soft reset, before you can delete it.

Sure, there is a bunch of neat stuff /skins in ClieSource's file section too!

In zLauncher, as one example, you use the Theme Manager to move jpg 320x480 pictures to RAM for the launcher's back ground pic.

Is it right that for the first charge, it will have NO ill effects on battery life if I 1. put it in the cradle 2. let it charge 3. switch OFF the auto-switch off feature, so it will be ON continuesly 4. playing around with the 73, installing software etc. 5. let it charge until the recharge light goes out ??? I would really like to know what programs are essential. I also read that it is possible to watch movies on it. So, is possible to watch a friends episode which takes about 80megs on my desktop on my CLIE using the right converting software - I know its a lot of work, but is it possible. n2ifp Retired Member Join Date: Nov 2002 Location: Manchester, NJ Posts: 12,444	Most efficient use of Jack Flash Flash Enable goes into Flash and JackFlash goes into the Palm-Launcher for the most efficient memory storage. You can run JackFlash from the memory stick to restore flash also, not many know or realize this. Several of us experimented awhile back. Flash Enable is needed in either RAM or Flash for ROM management functions. I have been using that arrangement for awhile now on the NX70 and now on the NX80. Excerpt from the Flash Enable readme: Installation: Use the Install Tool to load FlashEnable on your Palm. Copy it to an expansion card so that it is available in the case of a hard reset. If you want to remove JackFlash from the device, keep FlashEnable in RAM, or use JackFlash to move it to Flash. Please read all the documentation and the software license before using this software. You can also go to www.sonystyle.com and they have refurbished PDAs. I like the TAP plan at CompUSA. I was in the hospital for a week and one night one of the nurses came in and knocked my Clie off on the concrete floor. When I got out I went to CompUSA and got to trade my in with no questions.

That's good to hear.... I just bough an NX80V last night at CompUSA, and also bought the 2yr TAP.

I questioned the sales guy about OTC replacement, and he sold me!
