| Release: Tool to use custom video settings in NX/NZ/TG ImageConverter Thanx to Juan Carlos Franco, there's finally a binary version of my Prefs:ImageConverter tool which allows you to specify custom video/audio data rates, frames per second and resolution for your MP4 files. The tool is ever so simple and ever so powerfull:
Just download either the binary ZIP or the binary EXE from http://hansschmucker.free.fr/clie/Prefs-ImageConverter/
and start it:
Now just select the profile you want to alter, adjust the settings and press Apply. You don't even have to restart ImageConverter. Just add a new file, select output to MS and your profile and you're ready to go!

| That's exactly what it's for. Download it, start it. Now select the setting you want to alter (for example LOW), ajust datarate & framerate and you're set
You can calculate the filesize when using custom settings like this:
(Video data rate + Audio data rate) * 0.45 = Filesize (MB) per hour

| Even more: The maximum is something like that:
(32 kbitV + 32 kbit A) * 0.45= 28.2MB per hour
So, 56.4MB for 2 hours of film. Neat... isn't it?

| A great utility... But I think if there is a restore default button would be helpful to reset all settings... |

| hans: great job! thanks a lot! I have not tried it yet, but it looks great and if you could incorporate a default settings button it would be even better!
now we should post our experiences with different settings and results concerning quality and filesize.
thanks again, hans!

| I just copy the default settings, some values I don't know what does it mean...
All standards are having same framerate = 14985
HI: Audio=128, Video=384, Resolution (HxW)=240x320
LO: Audio=32, Video=96, Resolution=112x160
NO: Audio=64, Video=216, Resolution=240x320
For Stereo part, both HI and NO are 30 30 30 32 and LO is 30 30 30 31
Is the Hi-Res check-box for resolution settings? |

| Yes, since only 320x240 and 160x112 work, I didn't bother to include a big slider. Hires enabled means 320x240, disabled 160x112.
Stereo: 30303032 means just 0002 and 30303031 means 0001, in other words: 1 or 2 channels.
