You are wonderful. I owe you a lot. Since yesterday I was pulling my hair out just to mount the cf card I have. I was using the euroware cf driver( i am a registered user) but the driver wouldn't recognize my card after I had formatted the card using windows ME .It is formatted using FAT but the damn euroware driver wouldn't allow me to mount it. It always gave me an error message my card is not recognized and asked if I wanted to format it. If I clicked yes then the cf driver answered me back with another error message saying the formating function is not able to do it. I just installed the sony cf driver from your site. It did format my cf card in less than a second. Now I can use my 1 g. cf sandisk again!!! The euroware has so much bugs that I lost about 300 pictures i took in Rome and Ovierto while vacationing in Italy about 4 weeks ago. I hope the Sony CF driver will compliment each other with the euroware driver and make the cf finally usable and stable.

You have to understand, with out an API develop a driver for an OS is a hard work (too much reverse work, and a lot of knowledge for do it)... ERUWARE made an incredible work made the CF driver, and maybe with the new Sony driver, ERUWARE can improve much more his driver.

Pelaca,

Nice work. The read me warn not to install if using Eruware's driver. Can I remove Eruware's to install the one from your link? How is it different from Eruware's driver? Are there issues or performance differences?

You can remove the ERUWARE and Sony driver if you follow the tricks posted in the other threads (change the libs file type for other string and soft reset)

I have installed the driver and data import into the clie. When I tried the data import with the cf card, my PC prompts me to install the driver. Although i manually selected the existing sony's mass storage device as the driver, an error code 10 is resulted at the end.

My OS is Windows XP and my Clie is JP version with MS Pro update installed. Are there any guys having the same problem?

Steven, HK
