 |  New Skin For ZLAUNCHER!!!!
Hey everyone. I have created a Windows Blue XP skin for ZLauncher. I have decided to give a $0.50 discount on the skin if you are reading this on Cliesource. | cliekid, I don't want to bash you at all, but I think it's really crappy how you took someone elses skin... made a few very slight changes and are now selling it for 2 bucks... whoever wants to buy it can... and more power to em, but I wouldn't.

| I think it's kinda crappy that this guy took someone else's skin and is trying to profit off of it, but the original XP skins are just copied from Microsoft. Sure, it's not just cutting and pasting, but it still involved taking copyrighted images. So in this case, I'm having a hard time feeling too bad for the "original" skin maker. | |

I think.... this is still from the first 'round'. Parada didn't feel like making him not use stuff that he had put into his first skin.... and had compassion ......
On a side-note to some of the negativity of Parada's XP skin. I'd like to stand up for him...... He takes a graphic... that becomes the 'base' graphic ... yet he has gone in and made changes to each and every Icon. The buttons in their 'up-state' may appear to look identical to the ones which come standard with MS-Windows.... but the rollover effects for many icons is almost like totally re-creating the graphic from scratch. I salute Parada and all the efforts he has put into this skin. I do not know whether or not the icons for winxp have a copyrite on them or not.
I think the issue here was taking an already existing ZLauncher theme..... extracting graphics.... changing a lil transparency ... and making an attempt at marketing it as their own. I think this is more the issue. I don't feel Parada has ever tried to make a statement the icons he used were all created by scratch and by hand, although with many of the graphics and the simplicity design they could have been. What parada did complain about (to a very small degree) was the battery and ram icons which he did in fact create from scratch and has used it in multiple skins/themes.
If simply using XP icon graphics are wrong.... I would think we wouldn't even have an aquawood theme which comes bundled 'free' with ZLauncher. Again... Issue isn't the graphics... it is the copying of the skin itself.. and initially trying to pass it off as their own.
