Clean Up Worth It?

Ok, my first day with the Clie TG 50. Switched over from a pocket pc. I'm a bit confused by how cleanup works. Is it worth buying? Can all the files it lists when you activate it be safely deleted.

One pet peeve with my pocket pc was that it wouldn't close programs properly, they would continue to reside in memory. There were lots of add on utilities which closed programs. Anything available for the Palm operating version?

thanks
ricardo

Well the way Palm handles memory is very different from PPC.. we don't run into as many problems with programs hanging around in memory.. actually I'm not aware I've run into any.

Anyways.. I use Cleanup v2 and Uninstall to keep track of files installed and taking up RAM space. Cleanup can search for files and let you know if any program still needs them. Not ALL of them can be deleted though. Uninstall is also nice because it allows you to have a list of files that got installed with a program, and it lets you remove them very cleanly.

Click!

That link has both in one.. best two cleaning utilities I've found so far.

Get the NeatFreak Pack. It includes both Cleanup and Uninstall Manager.
