Are you working on it or you are not planning on working on it anymore? Let me know if you are working on it. I might buy the Ambicom modem instead if there won't be support for the Xircom modem. yes... the chipper one is the Ambicom CF56M-EZ you can buy it for 50 bucks at Best Buy
