| Movie download too big!!! Okay. I have tried a few different things.
I copied a Harry Potter DVD and now have a 1.5GB MPEG on my computer. Great quality, just like the DVD.
What is the best program to reduce the size so I can transfer to my CF card.
I have tried EO video and I lose the sound. I have tried a few different programs.
Thanks. |

| Did you try TMPGEnc? This is a good video program (especially for MPEG files). |

Jackho:
I used TMPGEnc to convert my file in the first place. I am using it once again, changing the "Motion Search Precision" to 'Low Quality'. Hopefully this will work.

| It didn't work. I tried using "Low Quality" when I converted. Unfortunately, it did not free up any space.
Any other thoughts???? |

#6 | | Guest | How big is your CF card??
I can cut a 2gb file down to 400mb .mpg using tmpgenc and the video and sound quality are amazing. If you're using a 1gb card or 512mb this will work great.
ps. i'm currently using them on a NX70.
I'll post my settings up after my school today for anyone interested.

I have a 1GB Card, however, the problem I am having is cutting down the size of the file. I am very interested in knowing the settings that you use.
Thanks. |

| What about converting to MQV (Movie Player format) using Image Converter? I personally thing the Standard quality is excellent for its size.
I bet you can convert that 1.5 Gb down to 250-300 Mb.

Actually, that's very doable.
I've converted several movies and even fit them on a single 128 stick. But the quality is much better if you use 2 sticks, so an MS Select would be ideal.
See this thread for info. I think I posted some info on converting movies on page 3...
