| HandStory: More than one auto-update per day? Is there ANY way to do this, except manually? |

| I wish it would update more than once a day too!

| No, there's no way to do it automatically. I wish they would spend more time updating this app. They need to add in the auto-update plus a few more options on link depth (like staying in the same domain), plus something little like adding an OS5 hi-res icon (which most developers added long ago). |

| Hmm. I just bought it (admittedly kind of spur-of-the-moment) and after looking, think I might want to use ISiloX. |

| Actually, automatically syncing LESS than once a day is more important to me. I have several sites that don't update daily that I'd like to set up to sync once a week or even once a month, in addition to the sites I sync daily. Can't really think of any of the site I sync that warrant updating more often than once a day.

| I'd be happy just to specify what time each day to update. Most news sites update around 5AM, so updating at midnight doesn't get the latest for work that day.
OTOH, they fixed the Washington Times script within a few days of that site changing format and answered my email to them promptly. Great support!

| I agree that they could spend a little more time updating this app. I will say though, after an e-mail asking about links, they said that it does only clip links in the same domain. |

That's been my experience, but I haven't done a comprehensive test. |

For example, I clip the site for my local movie theatre, and that site has hyperlinks on the movie titles that take you to a different site for a synopsis. It would be nice to have the option to grab those as well. |

Oh, I had not thought of that. Excellent point.
There is a scripting language you can learn, and there is an online tutorial on the handstory website... but most of it is over my head for the time being. I have not had time to sit down and really figured it out. The scripts can let you pull certain areas of a website down, and only clip links that follow a certain format. Has anyone looked into the scripting? |
