Exclamation Unable to hotsync

Hotsync isn't working. When I connect the cable and press the button, the Palm shows that it's doing the process but the computer doesn't. Then the Palm shows a Warning saying it couldn't access the computer

The cable itself is fine, because the Palm automatically turns on when I plug it to the usb entrance and CardReader does work. Also, I installed everything from the Palm CD to the computer so that couldn't be the problem either. I haven't been able to register my Palm, although I had done that in my last computer, because the serial number in the back of my Palm is completely erased.

I tried a wireless hotsync but I had never tried it before, and all I got was a message saying that the Palm couldn't find a computer in that LAN. If you could explain to me step by site how to do it, it could be an option for me.

I hope someone can help me. Thank you in advance!

I get that sometimes with my TH55; I find it's a combination of OS and slightly iffy contact with the hotsync connector that's usually the cause.

I find reseating it in the cradle or swapping to my hotsync cable usually fixes it, although in win2000 and up I sometimes need to reboot too as the hotsync driver sometimes hangs. Curiously Win98 doesn't have that problem!

Thumbs up

I finally figured how to make a wireless hotsynch, so that works for me .

Thanks for your answer and sorry for my delay.
