Either you have a corrupted file associated with the remote or you RAM memory is corrupted. You may need to do a hard reset and just try the remote BEFORE adding any apps back on the Clie. If it's okay, and after you do a full restore and you start to have trouble again, then it's software and you'll have to fix it by the process of elimination. Always disable any hacks or other system hooks, to rule that out first.
