 | Looking for UX camera
Hello!
Recently I had to disassemble my UX, and actually I`ve broken the flex cable of camera  Where I can purchase a camera? Is anyone selling parts? Thanks

| Thanks, I wrote a message to Dan, he has this spare part, but it seems like he doesn`t want to ship it to Russia... But I hope I could convince him, but the price would be really crazy - he wants 25$ for camera, and shipping costs, I think, will be 25-30$ too... Really crazy, but it`s impossible to find any spare parts and broken devices in Russia, because Clies weren`t officially imported here and they are extremely rare...
And does anyone know, if cameras from nx70 could be used in ux50, or not? | |

| In that case the best I can suggest is that you keep an eye on ebay for an old or broken unit. As far as I know the cameras are not interchangeable between Clié models, although I could be wrong. Hopefully someone else still monitors this forum who may be able to be more specific.

| An even better idea is to use a cell phone camera. The camera technology has improved and you would get better resolution and more tools using a Sony Ericson cell phone.
My TJ with its camera is more unobtrusive than a UX which is larger and more bulky but still the resolution of Sony Clie cameras were really bad.
I bought another PSP (3000) and will be comparing the add on camera that is sold with a video game with my other cameras. Update and move on, I always say.....

| Well, I don`t really need a camera on my sony clie, I want it only to calm myself. I have a UX50 in very rare collection condition - it`s new, there aren`t any scratches and etc., also it`s boxed and with new extended battery. I don`t use it, I have many other gadgets to help me, and of course I have a digital camera  ) It`s a pity to have a broken camera in such new device in mint condition, so I have to find it...
Well, to say the truth, I have no luck with clie devices... I`ve had many devices - mobile phones, pocket pc`s, jornadas, treos, nokias and etc., and almost all of them were broken, or with died batteries, buttons and other problems, I bought them in such conditions cheaply. I fix all problems in all my devices, but the situation with clies is different - I bought them without problems, and finally they are broken by me! I don`t know why this happens, maybe clies are less vandal-protected, or it`s a sign from God, that I should stop collecting gadgets... | |
