This is why I think there is a flash in the NX80. Compare the cameras in the 73 and the 80:

That white part rotates with the camera.

Reading through the specs I saw that video capture is still at the same resolution (160xsomething).

If I could get enough money for my NX70V and get the 80 for a good price, I think it would be worth it for me. I would get 4 more meg of RAM (eh.. it's more right?) and a much better camera. My Kodak is 1.3megapixel, so I could completely replace it with the 80.

Man, I could almost overlook the 200mhz processor and 32MB of RAM (if Palm can do better, so should Sony) if this thing had bluetooth...

Looks like the video will be captured at the same res as all OS5 Clies.

Right. So we get to launch apps and store documents, but we can't play mp3s, take pictures, or watch movies from the card. It looks like Sony wants to leave MSPro for the good stuff... the things that actually need a lot of expansion.

This must be one of the most minor increments in incremental upgrade history.

I am totally disappointed with Sony...after all these long wait for the "New" clie, the T|C is still a better spec. Now that the price of T|C is going down, it makes it more attractive. I would probably get one tomorrow.

Could it be limited to 16 meg usable because of it having OS5.0? Perhaps we could see it updated to 5.2 before a release in the states, and the full 32 could be unlocked for user use? I know I'm dreaming.

It's great to see that a lot of the rumors were dead on. Even with the details that seemed pretty out-there (pop out CF slot).

You are 1000% correct !!!! the document that i read was a compararison of MS PRO and CF Card and MS PRO virtually can do everything in audio and video sectors.

I wonder how long it will take before someone makes a "hack" that can switch the VFS designations of the MS and CF card on these new units. Now that Sony has done the dirty work as far as getting CF Memory to work, we just need to switch the ports right?

Looks like a market for Eruware...

CompactFlash Card TypeII supported (with limitations of course)

1) launch applications off the CF with ClieLauncher.
2) Move/copy/deletion of files in ClieFiles.
3) Save attachment files from Clie Mail to the CF
4) Manage/transfer of files in CF through Data Import/Export on PC.
5) Net Front v3.0 - access data, saving files on CF.
6) Picsel Viewer - file select & display.
7) Macromedia(R) Flash(TM) Player 5 - playback of contents

Didn't mention about movie/mp3 playback!
From the compatible CF card list, SanDisk was one of them
