| Aceeca 64bit drivers work with palm TX I found a post by Alex from Aceeca. Aceeca developed 64bit drivers and posted at brighthand telling everybody they can use them. I tried the driver out today on our two week old 64bit 7 desktop. It worked great. I ran the TX setup disk and ignored the driver did not install warning. I stopped before the first hotsync and went into device manager. There was a yellow triangle next to palm. I right clicked hit properties chose driver tab and selected browse for driver. Found the driver I had downloaded selected it windows installed it. I exited out of all windows except the palm setup and plugged in the usb cord and hotsynced. It worked

| I would give it a try. The Aceeca post stated that it may work on many palm devices starting at os 4. A newer post today post 135 stated they are working on a solution for Linux. Wyrenut over at the palm forum posted a sticky with well organized instructions and the trouble shooter. http://forums.palm.com/t5/Windows-H...orp/td-p/337516 |

| bytehead: What do you mean trying to sync with bluetooth. I and others have been doing this for quite a while. What operating system are you trying it on. |

| Linux? Linux already has HotSync drivers doesn't it?
There're options for it in the kernel IIRC |

Linux kernel includes drivers.

| Depends on what he intends; I remember doing a test sync a loong time ago with my old Clié T625 on my old Slackware server.
The short of it is you basically need three things:
1) Kernel support (Enable CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_VISOR for any non-ancient PalmOS device that syncs over USB, or you can set up Bluetooth/Infrared or good ol' RS232 serial - Linux can sync via any of these, but Serial and USB are the easiest to get running)
2) pilot-link (Sets up sync conduits)
3) A PIM like JPilot, KPilot (KDE), GnomePilot etc. to hold all the data
I did get it working, but atm I'm still sync'ing my TH55 with my Win98SE box so I don't know what the current 'state of the art' is
Here's an old article from bookmarks: http://www.linux.com/archive/feed/43399 |

| From what problems I have seen with the few people who have posted with a problem installing the 64bit driver on another forum. Desktop 6.22 should not be your first choice on windows 7 64bit. The disk that came with your device or one of the version 4. desktop software is a better choice. |

| Cyker the TH55 is listed as a Garnett devise. If you give it a try and it works please post.
Run the startup disk that came with it if you have it. Go into device manager and look for the clie with a yellow triangle next to it. If one is not there. Try doing it during a hotsync attempt. You need the devise showing up when you attempt to load the other driver. |

| I am happy it worked on your device . Five other people have tried it and it did not work properly. I am guessing it has to do with which desktop software they were designed for. A poster over at Aceeca forum complained after loading the driver he was able to hotsync but could not get contacts and some other basic functions to work. 6.22 has less function than the setup disk software that comes with many devices. So it is still best to use the original software. It is fully functional and a smaller file. Here is info on Access Garnett devices and smartphones. http://www.access-company.com/produ.../handhelds.html http://www.access-company.com/produ...martphones.html

| I only had the opportunity because our 6 year old XP desktop took a dive. This was the one our children used and I removed many Viruses from it. There rich aunt purchased them a really nice replacement with windows 7.
