I almost forgot one of the most important reasons that I am still using the TX, an aftermarket, glass digitizer courtesy of Chris Short. (The original plastic screen almost had me mad enough to throw the thing against a wall)

1- How did you get the T/X to recognize more than a 2 gb card and an SDHC at that????

2- please share Chris's address..........

ArtScott,

Do you have a wireless (wifi) connection to your Win7 PC? If so, try setting your T|X to network sync. That might get around the problem with the hotsync USB drivers not liking the Win7 64-bit environment. The Win7 XP mode virtual machine has its own issues with USB drivers. Syncing wirelessly gets around all that.

Wifi yes.....how do I set the palm to do wifi hotsync? What do I highlight in the Available connections box??

Agreat many thanx.......it took me a while to figure out my security settings on the T/X, the kind of WEP and the type of code....never knew there were so many.

HOW do I tell if I have the glass digitizer or the plastic?
Does the glass digitizer get you away from needing the stick on over priced protectors?

THANX TO ALL FOR ALL THE KIND HELP.

EDIT: figured out how to set for wifi and got my security settings straightened out......it scanned for PC and couldn't find it.....and I clicked other and typed in the PC sign on name....that did not work...so I typed in the Hdd name and that doesn't seem to work....I do have palm desktop 6XX installed and open when trying to hotsync........

Palm message:
The connection between your device and the desktop could not be established.
Please check your setup and try again......

When I hit hotsync it connects to the wifi just fine.......I am at a loss .....I tried naming the pc by my sign in name and got above message and then tried my HDD name and got same message...........

The router is wireless.......my laptop is always connected ........... Hmmmm?????

EDIT:
went thru the intializing again......clicked networked, and select PC.....it ran its course...connected to wifi (good) but says it cannot find PC and i am sitting with in 1 foot of the laptop........

I know this sounds stoopid....but how do I find my laptops IP address??

Palm T|X : Yes !!!!

I been using it for more than 2 years. just luv it .Had swapped it for E90 (i enjoy fiddling, and E90 was sort of frigid ). now I carry T|X and E51 (for GPRS connectivity on move). Deadly combination. really satiates the creativity bug (all Palm users understand what i mean). No matter who takes over, Palm will survive.
and thanks all who have posted here, you guys are great !
(i hope HP guys check these responses)

Plastic (digitizer has no issues been using it daily for about 3 years), non-flashable, it is in very good condition

I still use my TX every day. I have an iPhone too, and it's great for internet, but I haven't found any iPhone apps that match my Palm tasks, memos, and calendar.

I just got 64 bit win7 at work, though, and am trying to figure out the best way to sync. I have synced to desktop 6.2 via bluetooth, but I really don't like 6.2. I have synced to 4.2 via USB in XP mode, but that's a pain because it requires me to manually connect XP to USB every time.

4.2 runs fine in 64 bit native mode, but I need a way to sync. Is there a way to bluetooth sync to 4.2? Or maybe wifi?

I syncronize my TX via WiFi with Palm Desktop 6.2.2 and Win 7 Pro. No problems yet (after 3 months).
