| What is the Palm desktop for the Mac like I'm thinking of getting a Mac, and I see that many people here favour using Missing Sync. What's wrong with Palm desktop v4.2.1 Rev D for Mac OS?
Can anyone here compare the Palm desktop for Mac and Missing Sync and tell me what their experience of the Palm desktop was like.
Thank you for any response.

| Fact: Palm desktop for mac is the defunked 1986 Claris (Apple software div.) Orginizer that Palm purchaced so they could sync with Mac.

Try it for your own self, see if you like it, I can not tell you if you like Vanilla or Chocolate, you are the only one that knows what you like.

| Putting aside the fact that the software's old, and whether I like vanilla or chocolate (it's a close call), Palm says it works with Mac OS Leopard and the TX. Does anyone have any experience of it? I've been using a Palm for years syncing with Windows. What's this Mac software like? Why should I pay for Missing Sync when this is free?

| PalmDesktop for the Mac is pretty much just like the Windows experience. It works, and that is the nicest thing I can say. As soon as MissingSync was available for my Clie, I bought it so that I could use the the OSX applications in place of PalmDeskTop. I much prefer using iCal to organise my DateBk, iTunes and iPhoto are much better for the music and photos.
PalmDeskTop for the Mac has stagnated, and why wouyld you bother with it if you're happy enough to spend a few dollars for MissingSync.
If you don't want to spend the money, use PalmDeskTop, it is no worse than the Windows version.
