CNet also covers the Pre

Both reviews Gizmodo and CNet covers the ability to use the Pre as a GPS. Unfortunately the Pre has no GPS car holder for easy use, but it comes "free" when you pay the data service plan provided by Sprint.

You might prefer to read the Gizmodo review if you live in San Diego. The CNet review comes from San Francisco. YMMV due to regional differences in Sprint reception....

Good for me that there is a spot on the dash I can stick the Pre in to hold it up right so I will be able to view the maps while driving until the windshield mount comes out.

What would be cool is dash holder for GPS that includes a Touchstone charger.

If you can then wire the power for the holder behind the dash, that would be a very tidy solution, with no cables flying around the place.

Ohh. Now I know what you mean by "Matrix". Gizmodo has almost all the reviews and summarized them into a table.

BTW Brighthand just came out with their review:
http://forum.brighthand.com/showthread.php?p=1763108
So maybe they will be added to the matrix or comparison table?
-----------------------
I will have to return back to the "matrix" and see what other things can be added to the matrix.
