I have a couple of Clie keyboards, a KB11 and a KB100, that I'm interested in using with another machine, a Viliv S5. Can I simply get an adapter wired after DanT's suggestion in the following thread for a different sort of adapter:
http://1src.com/forums/printthread....97&page=1&pp=40
That is, so that
CLIE keyboard pin #1 connects to USB pin #1,
CLIE keyboard pin #5 connects to USB pin #4,
CLIE keyboard pin #2 connects to USB pin #2, and
CLIE keyboard pin #3 connects to USB pin #3?
Would a standard USB input recognize the signals as a keyboard and interpret them correctly? It seems possible to me at least for the KB11 because the same folding keyboard manufacturer made other very similar USB keyboards and would have a strong financial incentive to make their output signals identical.
I'd pay or (ideally) trade Clie stuff for such an adapter.
Thanks much to all of the denizens of the TH forum for all the help over the years; I've learned far more than I could hope to contribute to this forum. It has been my first source for all questions regarding my trusty TH11. We'll see if the Viliv can be as constantly useful.
