| T|T3 can now read/write 2 and 4GB SD cards Feeling a bit guilty over killing the SDHC project for the T|T3 I decided to help in a smaller way - by fixing Palm's errors in the existing driver, thus allowing it to read/write 2 and 4 GB SD [not sdhc] cards. Owners know that the default driver can read 2 and 4GB cards, but cannot write cards over 1GB.
This fixed it.
The download you need is T3-bigCard from PalmPowerups.com download area.

| Did your site just get hacked? Or are you starting to seriously go into the viagra business? One reason I don't use CMSs. |

| Thank you so much, dmitrygr!!
The 2 Gb card makes a big difference vs. 1 gb, but not being able to write was a pain in the reset button...
Good luck in your projects

| I apologize for not purchasing the fix for reading/writing for my TE-2, but I have moved onto TX and now have two of them. 1gb and 2gb cards are so cheap that I first will experiment more on using TCPMP before getting your SDHC card fix.
I strongly urge newbies of TX to use them for a year before buying a SDHC card fix because unless you know about resets and conflicts of programs, you will be either disappointed or frustrated.
Anyway I feel so bad in saying I would buy a SDHC fix and didn't buy one. Maybe I should just send a donation to the Dmitry Palm foundation? Anyway I am grateful for Dmitry and I wish him success and prosperity.

What are the requirements to install this app... do we use the Quick Install method or do we need to copy it over using a file manager utility? I used Quick Install and got this message: - Invalid handheld file deleted: C:\palm\download\T3-bigCards.prc |

| need to install to card then copy to ram. someone else here who did it successfully can explain.
as for my site - it's a daily war with some f*ckers who failed to hack my apps, so they settle for messing up my site...
setting up a whole new CMS is just a pain in the ***

Have no idea what you are talking about in reference to daily crashes and incompatability of programs and SDHC. I BOUGHT my TX after I bought and used the SDHC driver for my T5 and actually liked it soo much that I purchased a full license for the TX even though my T5 sits in a drawer.
I have experienced NONE of the problems that you describe in any way.
You may want to check your own setup as the exception and not the Rule

| Well, I tried in my two T|T3, but it won't install, even in a hard resetted unit. I want to try copying from the card in the hard resetted on, which I forgot to do.

That did it!!
I have run a full backup in the 2Gb card (BackupBuddyVFS), and no problem.
Filez operates files in the card now, too, and some other apps can write to the card as well. I'll test it further... and I'll buy a 4Gb card.
Great!!

| 1. copy the T3-bigCard.prc to sd card.
2. use resco explorer copy it to ram (just ram root, not any folders in ram)
3. reset you tt3 ^^!
4. try to insert 2gb sd card for test ^^!
my tt3 is ok, and thanks dmitrygr ^^! |

First off, I'm very excited that you've spent any time with this Dmitry. It is very much appreciated by me and other T3 users out there.
Now, on to my install issues. First I tried the procedures by VincentChon and when I put my 4g SD card in, the T3 said that it did not recognize it.
Next I tried the method you wrote using udmh. For the step "copy app from card to ram" Filex gave an error, so I used RescoExplorer which first messaged that it was a read-only file that was being overwritten (probably from the first attempt). I clicked OK and it copied over. I then deleted udmh like you said, and performed a soft-reset with the 4G in the T3.
Now, not only does it not recognize the 4G SD, but it also doesn't see my old 1G card. No error, nothing. It acts as if I'm not taking it out and reinserting (it usually reads the card and shows it in Filex).
So now even after soft resets, I cannot read any SD cards. Any advice? |
