Thank you so much for getting back to me. Yes I see what you mean about the beta. I may in the future allow turning off the beta calculation by adding a "simplify flight model" checkbox. You will then have the choice of either.

That is interesting about the ILS. I think I saw this before but it was kind low on the list of bug. I am not sure if it will not wait until I release 1.1 at this time. We will see. Thank you so much for the screenshots. It may have to do with the calculations on the angles difference between the ILS radio beacon (located at the end of the runway) and the heading of the jet. I am not sure now if you should believe the ILS bars or the radar!

CONGRATS on a completed combat mission! I takes a lot of work. Any SAM's around?

In the landing training mode the ILS bars are centered, probably in the combat mission the direction and angle that I was approaching the runway influenced how I saw the ILS bars.
About the SAM's, there are more yellow missiles, I don't remember seeing any red missiles ! About that, the yellow are long range and the red are short range, right ?

Hi,

I am pretty sure you are right about the combat mission and the arrival angle. Need to look into this at some point...

I am surprise you did not get any SAM's launched at you? The red number on the TWS (threat warning system) indicate the most dangerous missile you have to worry about first. It is usual because it is the closest to you. All the other missiles in the air (it can be more than one) will be set in yellow. The actual numbers (in red or yellow) are the altitude difference between you on the specific missile (in 1000's Feet). So a red number -5 means that the most dangerous missile is about 5K below you (if positive the above of course)

As indicated in the "pilot manual" (which I forgot to send the most current version...I will do it shortly) they are 3 type of SAM's which have different range, speed..The defense system of the enemy are pretty simple right now. They see you, they try to kill you! Later I am hoping to add more AI so that they keep some missiles in reserve and work together (like in a defense network) Please even now, they wait until they have a good chance to get you before launching!

hey Mo looks and works great! no errors or resets. Have completed several bombing runs - training and take offs and landings and have not seen any issues - have not had tome to commit to a full combat mession yet but hope to tackle that this weekend

Thank you! That a good news. By the way which TX hard buttons (label) are you using to control the engine throttle on your TX? You should try the combat mission when you get a chance. It is very fullfilling to takeoff, destroy enemies bases without being shutdown by their Sam's and finally safely land after a good day's work. By the way you do not have to land to finish that mission. Just use the eject button to get your current score. Obviously you will not get the full points since you did not land.

SAM's were launched towards my jet (many) ! What I was trying to say was that in ver. 1.0R I have not seen any red missiles, so to show you this, I made screenshots from both versions as a comparison !
I have both ver. 1.56b and ver. 1.0R on my SD card and I can play both versions !
And, I can see the same mission in both versions, but in the missions started in 1.56b I can't control the jet in 1.0R and viceversa, but I can see the same thing !
In 1.56b the closest missile is red, but in 1.0R is yellow, that is what I was trying to tell you !

I see what you mean now. I have the same issue. Not sure what happening but I. Will look into it. I am also looking are the ILS in combat mode.

Thank you for letting mean know about the red missile indicator. By the way I think the game run faster it you first move it to RAM.

Hello!

Sorry I am out for few days. He he have you heard of an 11 stars General? I guess not! ha ha ha! Ok I will look into it. It is not right that you get more than 4 stars. Not matter how good you are. Congrats by the way on your promotion to General. I am still a Captain AND I build this %$^& game! Ok I am fine with it now....


I am also working on the ILS error (versus the runway) Hopefully it will make it to version 1.0. I am hoping to send version 1.0R1 (yet another beta but it is just to fix some of the issues people have found)

I will keep you all posted.

Thanks rdheath for the report. Yes they are couple of issues that I am looking at right now (with the time I have) but nothing major (other than the the ILS indicator in combat mission) I am hoping to release 1.0R2 which will patch those issues.

Hi Mo ! In v 1.0R2 you solved the ILS bars problem ! But another problem appeared with the promotion !
I promoted to General and while trying to see if the promotion issue is solved, in a AG strike mission (no SAM) hard mode with winds and failures, after I destroyed the target (N) I waited for the points, but instead it gave me an Error 10 (1st screenshot). Then I pressed "Done" and the 2nd screenshot remained on the screen and I ejected ! When I wanted to enter the LogBook it gave me the same error (3rd screenshot), so I started a new mission, ejected and then I could enter the LogBook (4th screenshot) !
I played a few more mission and when the last mission before the next promotion was finished it gave me an Error 8000, and again when I wanted to enter the LogBook it gave me that error (5th screenshot), I started a new mission and then ejected and tried again to enter the LogBook but the error remained !
So I think it was better to promote you to General over and over than to give you an Error from which you can't see the LogBook anymore. Maybe you should leave the promotion module as it is in ver. 1.0R .
And another thing, I don't remember if I told you this but when I exit a mission with the possibility to continue it, when I exit ViperOne and then return to continue my mission I can't control the left and right movement of the jet and without that the jet crashes (in version1.0R and 1.0R2) !

As usual thanks so much for the detailed bug reports. Cannot ask for better ones! You right I should probably recode the promotion code as it was until version 1.1 I will look into the roll controls.

This is it.... I have just sent the release version (to my patient beta testers) and praying that there is no major bugs. I fixed some issues that you guys found (thanks a million hagakure!) on version 1.0R2 like:

1- Promotion after **** General rank: Fixed, now the system simply stop promoting and then display a message telling to reset your LogBook if you want the start from scratch.

2- If a game was saved then exited completely, the next time your start the game and resume, the roll controls did not work (left/right banking): Fixed

3- The closest SAM missile distance indicator (red number under the ARM button) froze sometimes until the next missile launch: Fixed

You can expect a game release in the next couple days (need to cleanup the user guide and prepare the app for release)

Two years+ in the making, this app was a challenge that would not have been possible without the kind help of great people in this forum. THANK YOU ALL!
