| Hello rdiheath.
THANK YOU so much for helping out. I am glad the resets went away. Yes the game is very demanding in terms of graphics/sounds.
I also would strongly suggest to skip the landing training mission! It is a lot of fun but it is my opinion the hardest mission! Instead you should try the first air to ground strike mission (A-G strike) to give a feel on how the bombing mode works on the F-16. later you can try the same mission with SAM eenmy defenses (in mission level = easy, the SAM missiles flies at Mach 1 so you should be able to evade them easily....mission level = hard....another story since they fly around Mach 3!) You do not need to land in any of the mission even the combat one. Of course you will lose points for not landing on the combat mission. It just mean that it show down your promotion to higher rank. Once you are comfortable with the jet THEN you can go back and try to luck with landing (both normal and flame-out landing)
Just a suggestion of course. The game allows you to jump back and forward between missions so have at it!
Thank you again. I want to make sure I release a good product and the beta testing phase is crucial for that. I appreciate the help.
Mo.

| After testing v1.5b this is what I have to say:
-On my treo 650(PalmOS 5.4.7) is pretty stable, no resets.
-It is different from the version in the pdf.
-The help button does nothing.
-I accidently found a tip/info button in the upper right corner of the screen, when I exited the mission and touched that spot again the "i" button appeared, and the tips are not for this game.
-Landing is very difficult (for me... impossible, for now), and there is no "skip landing" nor "simplified flight" option.
I don't know what else to say. |

| Hello hagakura
Thank you so much for testing the game. Yes I hear you, the landing is the most difficult part of the game (in par of escaping a SAM coming at you at Mach 3 in the combat mission...game level set to hard)
Yes the "help" button is useless right now but i am hoping to put a quick guide so you can start the game without having to read 20+ pages of documents..ha ha!
I forgot to remove the "i" hidden info button. It was from the Lunar Lander game! Yes the user guide need a little correction which will be done once I am ready to release.
Actually a beta tester found out that if:
1- You start a combat mission
2- then quickly eject
3- Then exit the app all together then the device goes thru a warm reset!
I am able to reproduce it in all my Palm OS devices.
I am working on that right and will send a new version as soon as I can.
Again thank you for the help.
Mo.
ps: Thanks for the screenshots. They look good! |

| Hello rdiheath, hagakura
Could you guys try the first strike training mission? I am trying to figure if the game play is not too hard. Basically you need to fly the jet toward the target (one) by following the blue line (bomb fall line) So for instance if the flight path marker (the yellow small yellow plane on the HUD display) is to the right of the vertical blue line then bank left to match both marker and blue line. Make sure the "ARM" button is on (bomb arm and ready) Also make sure you are more less leveled (level flight) Then once you are close enough to the target (less 10 miles) you will see two red lines over the blue line) This is your indication that the bomb is almost ready to drop. The flight computer will decide when to drop the bomb taking into account your current speed and altitude. Once the top red line reach the bottom of the screen and touch the other red line then the bomb will drop by itself. Your job is to align the jet with the target. That's exactly how the real F-16 pilot do it. It is called a CCRP bombing mode (make sure the HUD says CCRP at the top left of the HUD) Of course a real jet has more than one bombing mode(CCIP is another but not simulated here)
In any event, I hope you will enjoy the training mission. It sounds complicated but once you drop one or two bomb then it will be second nature fast.
Let me know what you think.
THANK YOU.

| Yes, when I exit the mission/practice without finishing/crashing, my device resets ! The quality of my screenshots is lost because I have to convert them from bmp (higher quality) to jpg (lower quality) so I can post them here ! So... I started the first strike/training mission (I played it before without success) and this is what I achieved today:
-in my first try I missed the target by 3km (see 1st jpg) and started a new mission
-second try, I barely managed to hit the target (life-5%) (see 4th jpg 95%). So I turned back the fighter towards the target and managed to hit it again, and then the target status appeared showing 44% (see 7th jpg). I destroyed my first target .
-this encouraged me to give it another try:
• direction-toward the target (checked);
• lower altitude (I managed to go under 1KFT-see 9th jpg);
• approaching target (in progress);
• above the target: ARM (checked)... bomb-launched, and then... what happened ??? BOOOOM: One shoot one kill =) ! It showed 22% the targets remaining life. Didn't managed to take a screenshot because the LogBook (see 10th jpg) appeared to fast !
So... in my opinion it's not that hard to strike the target, you just have to practice and get used to flying the plane!

| Hello hagakure,
WOW congrats on your first kill. It was not too bad right? (once you know...) It gets more difficult when you increase game level. For instance you will need the bomb to hit less than a 1000 feet to get any damage.
For the reset issue at exit, i think I found the problem and will send version 1.6b shortly.
Thanks again for helping out. I really need people to do some training/combat missions to find issues I missed so I can release a good version.
Mo.
ps: Great screenshots by the way! I may use some of them for the user guide (with your permission of course!) I think people need to see a step by step of how you kill a target. In the current user guide, I just explain but without images it is hard to see what's involved... |

| By way hagakure, you can edit your "Call Sign"! so you do not need to be stuck with "ViperOne" Once you change your pilot call sign, it will be saved even at exit...

| I tried 4-5 times to complete the mission to no avail. after about 3 hours testing I still had not been able to chalk up my first kill. On the good side though is that I experienced NO issues re: stability of the game save one "freeze/lag" it lasted only a second and went right back to running no problem. tried hard exit and normal exiting from the game and no errors or fatal alerts.
Ill keep trying when I get time as this is a very busy week at work and home

| Something taht I noted when playing is that I could PAUSE the game with a graffiti strope to bring up the command bar - didnt last long BUT it gave me time to consult my printed manual when needed

| Great job! Sorry for the steep learning curve. At least once you do it once or twice it becomes second nature:
- Bank toward the target by following the blue fall line
- Fly level
- Do not forget to ARM your weapon
- Once the small red line reach down to the small red U then the computer will drop the bomb. Your job is consent to the drop (arm button on) and to fly the jet straight toward the target you selected (vertical blue matches the small yellow flight path market...little plane icon)
- The bomb need to hit the target at less than 3000 feet away (2000 ft in normal mode and 1000 ft in hard game level)
I should make a better user guide with maybe more screen shots. You can also view this youtube video (if you did not already): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmWV1fhNSmY
(hey be gentle with my voice over ability!) It is an old version of the game but the concept is the same.
I usually drop around 20K alt but you can do it at any altitude. At higher altitude you do not have to approach the target too close since the bomb will fly longer in its way down. It is not a problem in the regular strike mission but once you go to the strike with SAM or the actual combat mission, you will need to take into account the surface to air missiles protecting those targets. Believe me in hard mode with SAM coming at you at Mach 3, it is rather difficult to concentrate! Add some winds effect and/or some sub-system failures while bombing and you can have yourself a little mental breakdown LOL
Thank you so much for taking the time to test this game. I appreciate it very much. I am really hoping that with help like yours I will be able to release a good app (good in term of not too many bugs!)
Let me know if you need any help at all with missions or if you see any issues. Thanks also by the way about the PAUSE function! That was great find.
