tomtheapple Registered User Join Date: Feb 2009 Posts: 1	Palm III won't connect to software Hello. I have a 3Com Palm III PDA, and a Serial to USB Adapter I got off eBay (seller was Colordrives.) I downloaded the software for the Palm III off Palm's website (4.2.1 Rev A) and installed it. I tried to connect the Palm III to the software and it just isn't working. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Also when you use a Direct Serial to USB adaptor you need another driver? Is it possible your computer has an old Direct Serial port and you don't use the adaptor? I will experiment tonite and see what problems I incur... __________________ Th-55 U, T/X, TG-50, Handspring Deluxe (3) and PSP user.

Alekz Registered User Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 6	I suppose serial2usb adapter somehow installs one or more serial ports. Check if the synch software is using the correct serial port for synching. I had similar issue when by mistake connected the craddle to the wrong COM port...
