| Just bought a TH55 I recently was on ebay and saw a decent TH55 for a good price and decided to buy it. Though I've owned several Clies in the past, the TH55 is the latest model of any Clie I have ever owned.
I've been away from the Palm camp for many years. I abandoned the Clies shortly after Sony left Palm and eventually left Palm itself after it was apparent the platform had become stagnant with no further growth - and worse yet the company Palm seemed content with only putting out different model Treos and doing absolutely nothing in trying to innovate the heart of their business - the OS. Yes of course they sold the rights, of course they are working on a linux version (which we will probably never see and will be too little too late when it finally hits the market)- but all of this is BS. Palm was more interested in changing the color of their gay logo some years ago, than they were trying to give their users, their customer's a better end user experience and innovate their own product.
Anyway, back to my topic, I've been using the TH55 for a bit now and I am blown away. The TH55 is so far ahead of the curve of anything Palm has ever done it amazes me. Yes, the design of the TH55 is elegant, nice, fits in the hand well, and the screen beautiful, but the addition Sony made to manage PIM information on the TH55 and on Palm's own platform is amazing. Even with the limitations of Palm's OS in compared to what we are seeing in modern smartphone, Sony's changes were huge and added a new layer of functionality in the way you could manged your information.
I hate Sony for leaving Palm, but I know it was a business decision for them. But Palm has no excuse. They should of picked up where where Sony left off.
Clie - Th55
The best Palm device I have ever used.

| Welcome back to the Cliè arena.
IMHO the TH55 is the best PalmOS PDA made in the past years. Hope you will enjoy it as I do.

| Totally agree. We TH55 users are so spoiled that we could not find a true replacement. Just ask any friend with an iPhone if he/she can download a pdf document in the browser, save it, then open and read it. I used to think that was basic functionality, but it's getting harder and harder with all those new devices.
And I do hate Sony for moving the Clie development resources to make the PSP and Mylo, especially the later which seems to be such a lame toy. |

Cept my simple J2ME cell can do it because for some weird reason it has pixelbrowser, and I can do it for emails because Google is awesome (and their mobile gmail app can read anything).
That said, it should be a basic function. However, Apple spoils us (I am an iTouch owner) with their ease of use instead of functionality. And for the record, it does bother me that Apple makes boatloads of money being restrictive with iTunes.
