| PowerSDHC loop crash I've just installed PowerSDHC on my Palm TX, along with the key I generated when I first started PowerSDHC. After the key is installed, If I either run PowerSDHC, or reset the TX, the TX goes into an endless reset loop. I also tried with a completely empty TX (Power On on reset), and the same result. Why isn't this working? This might have been discussed in the original PowerSDHC thread, but I'd rather not read 2+K posts to find the solution...
I now have a (for me) perfectly useless 16Gb card sitting here...

There is that great customer service we have come to expect.
Why would anyone buy your app after an answer like this.
Ever consider asking this person any questions as to what programs the person has installed that or how thw person installed the driver?
Just something to consider here, you and your apps may not be as flawless as you come out and state.
You can go ahead and attack me for this post but it does nothing to take back the inconsiderate and very rude response you have given above.
If I had behaved that way, I would stick my head in the ground and try to hide because of my embarrassment.
Wait, I would not have responded the way you did.
It appears, from previous posts here on this site that this type of service is part of your business model, Why?
To the OP, I wish I could help but as you may assume, I do not use any of this developers apps.
Maybe posting your installation process and or apps you have installed, maybe someone can be of assistance to you since the developer does not have the time, skills or patience to do so.
David

| I don't know much of how exactly you're installing the driver, but I install the key file prior to the driver (provided that the key got generated already) and always use RescoExplorer (or Filez) to install them. |

I know because the person also emailed me that he tried a hard reset and still gets the loop.
Also I am SO tired of you! Don't like me? Don't talk to me! Don't like my software? Try and live without it! How about we make a deal? You pretend my posts do not exist, and I will pretend yours do not.
Not all of us have so much time to waste that we go about message boards degrading developers who put their heart and what little free time they have into this dieing platform for ungrateful people like you!
Get a life...or if you want to make me look bad, go write your own SDHC driver. THEN you can yell at me! Till then, please find a better way to spend your time than annoying me!
It's as sholes like you that make me not want to develop software!

| Hi,
Don't like you, I do not know you outside of your posting here.
I dislike your idea of great customer service, though.
Ignoring me or my posts will not take that away or change it.
The only way you do that is improve your replies to customers and potential customers, not attacking me.
Do you really feel the response you gave above was proper to the OP?
Your last post really reeks of stroking your own ego more than a proper response to my original post. Quote: |

I just dislike your responses when people have issues or problems with your apps doing what is advertised by you.
If you insist on wearing blinders when this issue comes up, I cannot do anything there but I will call you out on it if I see the kind of responses given like the one above.
I guess you could try to get me banned or threaten to stop developing because I say your customer service is poor but why not just improve your responses to people who have genuine problems and I will stop posting my concerns.
You consider yourself a great developer, why not work to be just as great in your customer service?
If that happened, I would be the first to give you kudos for it.
I am not your enemy here, treating me as such only deflects from the issue of your customer service.
David

only so many hours a day. I have a fulltime job, am studying, sleep and eat sometimes, and have friends. So i can either be verbose in my responses and not develop anything, or be quick and expect people to understand that I am not trying to be offensive, just responding quickly.

Me make you look bad?, your post here did that better than I could have if I tried to.
Stop developing because you do not want to respond to people in a proper way when they have a problem, grow up and stop acting like a spoiled child.
You keep making this a personal issue and it is not, if there was another developer here who acted the same way, I would respond the same way.
I have sung the praises of many developers here whp understand the importance of good customer service.
It really is a pity you do not.
David

Thank you for this response.
Makes great sense and explains a lot.
Why not use this as a blanket response when someone asks you a question and you are short on time?
Or just respond when you have time to give a proper answer?
I really am not the enemy here, thanks again for the response here.
Have a nice day.
David

Everyone knows that Harpgliss is a Pessimistic Jerk who only starts posting to start an argument or just piss people off
don't believe me? go search his posts (especially the ones where he adds "David" at the end)
no amount of "its not my faults" can cover that, so go piss of another forum Harpgliss
Either that or buy a T|X and then tell us that Dmitry hasn't brought that thing out from the role of a unstable, unreliable, poor performing paperweight.
Forums here on 1src are to help people with problems, Dmitry is a person with a life, and with a bright future ahead of him. When Dmitry checks 1src and ONE person says that his palm is malfunctioning because of his program, when the thousands of other people who use his products without a problem, Obviously It must be something that one person did did, or something with his palm. Common sense... and that's where other people on 1src are here to help him out.
Palm is basically open to any 3rd party programs, and 3rd party Developers can do whatever damn well please, Its their software. Dmitry has trials, he lets people try it out before they buy it. To tell a developer to stop developing because he doesn't have the time to debug everyone's palms (when It may not even be because of his software) Is a ASSWHOLE thing to say and you know it.

I am glad you know me so well.
Your post here does what exactly?
I would say you are doing what you accuse me of doing.
Anyone can take certain posts or words posted and twist them to suit their purpose, have fun there.

Do you feel better?
I am impressed you pay this much attention to what I post here.
If you enjoy my writings here, you can catch me over to Mobiltysite (Aximsite), Brighthand, and most recently over at Internetabletalk forum that is run by our very own Reggie.
I usually do post daily on those sites but sometimes do not.
Been considering ablog or even a book and now that I know I have at least one fan, maybe I will pursue those options.
Than you for the encouragement.
It is really heart warming to know you enjoy my point of view on things.
David

Not really, Dmitry sent a debug version of the driver to the OP.
That was mentioned in post five.
Since then, yes it has.
