So, my wife's Treo 650 finally bit the dust and with my 755p, we have all these treo cradles around with the secondary battery chargers and all.

We picked up a Centro for her (the smaller form factor was important and the screen size is fine for her (she doesn't need reading glasses like yours truly).

So can we just put the centro battery in the back of one of those baby's and not blow it up?

What she really wants is a spare battery and charger like before. The stock palm cradle doesn't do that and the separate battery charger isn't on her list of convenience.

Suggestions?

We suspect some of her battery life problem is good link - so is there any performance tuning we can do to the good setup?

Although you can charge the phone on the cradle (if it doesn't fit very loose) as they share the same connector, I think you can't charge the battery on the 650 battery compartment as they are different. Don't force it or do any modifications to make it charge. Unless you are skilled in electronics to do so and know very well what you are doing.

It's interesting that there isn't a separate place for Centro. Is it reckoned to be a Treo-derivative and so not needing its own threads?
