Good thing I was using a notebook or else I'd still be writing the script! Now unscrambling my network...now THAT was fun!

Sprint Web?

What's the Sprint Web URL? I want to try it on my TC. Thanks.

I don't think that the Sprint Web service will work on a Tungsten C. You need a Palm Treo 700p, 755p, or the Centro. The service didn't work on my computer.

1SRC Chat for December 8, 2007 Attached!

A never-before-posted chat! So, what were things like in 2007? Alan was MIA. The (non) Snitch was very paranoid about, well, snitches. Kirvin's internet connection was lousy and the 800w was still months away, yet desired.

Follow Up

Alan, I just started listening about a month ago. I've gotten a lot of good tips from you. Keep up the good work.

I wonder if you or someone might point me in the right direction regarding syncing calendars. (this relates to your mention of GooSync)

I've been briefly trying to figure out a way to sync a portion (1 category) of my Outlook Calendar at work to a Google Calendar. I run into a couple issues. 1. I'm somewhat locked down at work so its likely they won't let me install something like the Google Sync program as it stands. Plus I'm not sure it would even support a sync from the Exchange Server anyway 2. I don't have a data plan with my Verizon 700p. Your mention of GooSync got me wondering.

When I check their site, they hint that you can hit GooSync via a piggy backed internet connection thru the USB HotSync cable if you load another program called SoftickPPP (have you heard of that?). I loaded the later and seem to make a connection to the net via my USB.

However, when I go to start the Blazer Web Browser to confirm if I am indeed on the web via that SoftickPPP connection, I get a prompt saying that I need to turn on the phone service to get at the web. Done.

Can someone point me in the right direction in terms of 1. where the right forum would be to post this question or more directly 2. if I can surf the web on a 700p this way (that is without dialing up via the phone). Ultimately, the trick is could I push my calendar from the 700p to a Google Calendar).

I really don't use Outlook and I don't have access to an Exchange server. I'm simply syncing my Google Calendar down to my Windows Mobile Treo 750.

You may want to post your question over in the Brighthand forums. The folks over there really know their stuff and are always willing to help people out.

Good luck,
Alan G
