 | version 425 Chinese Rom compatability?
Dear All,
I've tried v425 and getting "Your device's ROM is not in usual format. Please contact dmitrygr@gmail.com." and "Your device's ID is in unusual format. Please contact dmitrygr@gmail.com."
Just wonder any friends here using Chinese ROM Lifedrive have Powerdrive sucessfully installed. One more thing, my LD already have CF card replaced.

| that is not incompatibility. that is you not following directions.

| yes, some people get this. most chinese people do, and some US lifedrives do as well. it is fixable...

I bought POWERDRIVE from your website and encounter problem because of my CHINESE ROM... sent several emails to you ... could you pls help me with the problem of "ROM is NOT in usual format?"

| Well, I had the same problem Sep 2008 when I bought and used PowerDrive on my Lifedrive with Chinese ROM. I emailed Dmitry and he sent back a ROMNormalizer program. In Dimtry's own words, "RomNormalizer edits the boot flash to be in a standard format that powerdrive bootloader can then replace".
I still have the ROMNormaizer program, but I do not know whether or not Dimtry minds I send you the program.
May be you try emailing Dimtry a few more times, and if he still does not response, I can send you the program. But keep in mind that I cannot provide any technical support if the program does not work. Comment? | |
