I do ask where exactly Jeff is getting the statements in the earnings calls that the Treo line will be WM only. I may just be missing it but all I have heard is that Treo will be the business line, which I do not concede means WM only. Nor have I head that Nova will have its own phone line.

At the same time, Palm will continue to promote the Treo line of Windows Mobile smartphones to business customers. “Microsoft is the de facto standard in corporate email, and I think they should be the de facto standard in mobile email. If you have an Exchange server today you can already get mobile push email without installing a single other piece of third-party equipment, so it’s pretty easy to deploy. I don’t believe we could ever create a position in the business community that competes with Microsoft, it just wouldn’t make any sense.” That ‘next generation’ Palm OS will slot in between the Centro and Treo lines under a new ‘prosumer’ brand that’s yet to be decided, Colligan explains. “We’re going to continue to look at those three line areas – consumer, prosumer and enterprise. Dvorak in the This Week In Tech Podcast He surely brings a lot of life into the Podcast hope to hear from him more now that he's back in our fold Great Job!

freakmarket Registered User Join Date: Aug 2003 Posts: 16	I liked Jeff's tell it how it is style about Palm instead of the hopefull "some day palm might do something" attitude of hard core Palmers. Is anyone else out there worried when the new o/s and it's devices launch are they going to be so different that Treo users will condemn them or will they be so excited something new has the Palm logo on it that they will rejoice? Because there will be no new Treos as we know them once the new o/s arrives.
