| The iPhone launch was terrible? It seems you're the only one saying this but I'm sure you have good reasons.
I'd like to share this chart though...

| Blackberry is mostly for business use because of the push email capability, while the iPhone is more on an internet/multimedia device. For my own personal use, I wills till prefer a Blackberry or a Treo because of the QWERTY keyboard which is more easier to use than the virtual keyboard on the iPhone. |

| danielmaradona, Apple now offers mobileme which features push email, push contacts, and push calendar. Something to look at if you're a Blackberry user.
I used to have a Treo 650 and loved the keyboard... until I got to try out the iPhone's keyboard. I admit it's not for everyone but I love it! I have since sold my Treo 650. |

Hi Joel, yes Apple has trying to enter the Enterprise space by offering consumer oriented service that can emulate the enterprise capability of Blackberry and MS Active Exchange Server. However, the physical form factor of the iPhone is not suited for the task that the typical QWERTY devices can perform. Yes in terms of the touch screen virtual keyboard that the iPhone has, it still far away from the ease of use of using a physical keyboard, that is why the Treo and the Balckberry devices is still popular among business and professional users.
I wonder how the MobileMe service of apple will fare compare to the competition. Palm should follow this type of example by offering this type of service that is accessible by the consumer, just like Blackberry did with their BIS service. |
