| power on clock Is there an app that works as follows: When you turn on the device, it overlays a clock on the display, for about two or three seconds. The clock disappears if you tap the screen or press any key, and the tap or press is passed on to the underlying application, so that if you quickly want to do something, you can just ignore the clock and act as if it weren't there. (Would work better if the clock were alpha-blended.)

| OK, I added this feature to FastLaunch (not configurable yet, but always on).

Sounds great - where can it be downloaded? |

To turn it on, you need to turn on FastLaunch, and then go to the menu, and choose "Power on popup...", and configure it.
Use at your own risk. I'll be going on vacation for about two weeks soon, so I may not be able to update.

| I used Event Launcher and BigClockDA. The device goes back off after 5 seconds.
For those not on a Treo/Centro.

| Worse than that, it crashes drop down boxes in other apps, and is incompatible with Treo 700 data service. Should be fixed in 1.51b2, now up.

| Last night I tried it and it worked great. This morning, I turned the Treo on and the clock showed but the phone froze. Did a soft reset and it went into a reset loop. Warm reset and ForceDelete allowed me to get out of the loop.
Will try this new version, perhaps it was just a coincidence, but I never had a reset loop on my 650.
Regards,

I don't know about the freeze, but the reset loop should be fixed.

| I think it's fixed. Turned off the phone for a while, turned it back on and it didn't freeze now. Thanks!
Regards,

| I made the clock font bigger, and replaced the battery with the date (more useful, I think). 1.51b3 is out.

2playme does this... It's in the dialog where you set which apps to run on hotsync, etc....
