Question Changing color of "between-apps" white screen

Sorry for the difficult title : )

I just installed SkinUI 2 to my Palm TX and it really did wonders to the UI. I especially love the way it dims the screen around popup windows.

Now to my question: Everybody who has used a Palm handheld is probably familiar with the white screen that flashes momentarily for example when you start an application or switch between ones. Is there any means to change that blank screen's color to some other? Having an application that could change that "between-scenes" screen to for example black would in my opinion add to the overall feeling of the OS, making it seem even more "solid" (the screen wouldn't seem to redraw and flash so much). (EDIT: this is entirely dependent of the theme used of course)

Is the aforementioned screen possible to recolorize using, well, Colorize for example (or other color scheme editing apps)?

BTW: I'm using a dark theme, so that's why the black color, but the more color options the better.

Duh, answering my own question: Yes it is possible to just recolorize it. I changed my theme to Nostalgia from the system preferences and there we go: the blank screen is now green, so black shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks, Me

Out of curiosity, do you know which resource changes the colour of the loading screen? I'd never even thought of changing it until you posted this

the color you need is the one that is used for background of non-modal windows
as a side-effects though all forms will also use it then

So if we make it black, we'd better make forms text white

This could make a interesting app, one that would use a default color like black on entering apps and change it back to a the normal color for forms. Can this be possible?

Use skinUI and choose a theme with a black background and disable on a per app basis, uncheck all settings except the modal color fill, or a combination of the two.

Not really the best solution but if you just want to change the white screen to black it will work.
