Apt v1.0

Good morning [where applicable],

Apt v1.0 is now available at

http://apt.dinglisch.net/

Changes with respect to RC7 are listed below (they are minor).

Started a new thread on this momentous occasion, other one was getting a bit daunting (please let it expire).

Pent

1.0 2/5/2008
- bugfix: full-screen lock, form was off screen
- added a second to the 'don't execute mount trigger after reset' timer
- bugfix: was sometimes deleting popup box that hadn't actually been created and drawn
- settings form -> modal

Yes, will put it up on various sites once it's confirmed there are no embarrassing bugs, I have been playing with 1.1 so I'm not sure about this version.

Just noticed myself: astonishing.

Thanks very much Pgr, I could never have produced that!

And all in the face of limited help from the author (I seem to have a psychosomatic sickness reaction when I consider doing anything with the docs at the moment).

Congrats Pent!

I'm off to download this milestone right now. Being that it's Friday and I'm going to Happy Hour in a couple of hours, I will raise my first glass of the night to you Sir.

Thanks for all that work -and give the little lady a hug from all of us

Edit: I think it's time you made your first official release announcement on your Wiki Forum. It seems all of the action is here, but after all, it is your forum!

Thumbs up

Pent - Wonderful News!

You've put a lot of effort into this & stood by your program & users & taught me a lot about what is going on under the hood of PalmOS & what can be done; esp considering the only thing I ever programmed was a DOS batchfile or two.... oh, and NetWare login scripts... remember that?

I've said it b4 & I'll say it again: this app should be Rookie Of The Year & MVP!!!

I bought it within 24 hrs of the reg process being in place, much earlier in the beta process - I earned certs for Certified Netware Engineer, Master CNE & CNI (instructor) & I recognize an robust, functionality adding app when I see one. The core functionality of 'per-app preferences' assignments is rock solid & straightforward; the rest is robust & while it can be complex, it is ultimately more than worth the efforts in reading the User Guide & wiki (both online) b/c it allows you to do so much, you'll feel like a poweruser par excellance.

Kudos & may we benefit more fm your efforts!

**EDIT** I can happily confirm that the fix for the lock trigger works & I went out of my way to break it!

Phew, I'm pretty sick of that bit of code!

Edit: (also referring to some posts on other thread): some of you guys are just too nice to me :-)

Consider it growing pains, for Apt.

Yeah, I know, you are such a louse & do nothing to help people... :-Q (tongue in cheek)

BTW, I noticed that the star menu now displays the top item in the macro wh, along with the hold-of-press-count i.e. " 1: Fave1" & I didn't put any value in that line "1 Hrd3 Fill Fave1___ ". It is a nice touch, a reminder of what you just launched, same for "1 NavL ... Back". I like it.

BTWpt2 Now that you've released it, I don't have to wait, I'm submitting the good news to PalmAddicts.

I don't know.. I keep thinking something is messed up somewhere.. I use CleanStart and I try to keep the checked items to a minimum... I have about 8 MB Dbcache free after I start up..

Vovka,

imho, Pent was talking about what was loading fm the card, that would affect your card mount macro. If it isn't too much trouble, remove that macro & leave Apt & go back & re-enter it & see if it still mis-behaves... The macro itself might have become corrupted...

Had a similar thing w/my star menu macro, but after redoing it, all is well.

Good luck,

After sending a Paypal payment, how long is it normal to wait for the full version? Just a little impatient, sorry.
