Talking wireless earphones!!!!

I was reading a previous thread that asked what the best replacement earphone would be.... I myself bought my clie without earphones and decided to go wireless. I bought the 2.4 ghz wireless headset and will never go back!!! I did make sure that the base unit used batteries and ac/dc plug and now I can go to work set up the base and listen to tunes all day or watch movies! I also have an osiris gbag backpack with built in amp and speakers so i can also blast the tunes or listen silently wirelessly! Try it out! Too many times in the past I have gotten up to walk away still connected and pulled it off whatever i had it on (usually my desk)!! Anyways if anyone else has any really cool ideas leave some threadage below! Also has anyone seen a crushproof, waterproof hardcase for the nx? Im looking for one and can only find one for the n-series! thanks

I think I have found the perfect earphones in terms of looks and sound quality, they are the Bang and Olufsen ones and are silver and black.

If anyone has seen The Minority Report then the mobile phones that can be seen towards the end are the same earphones with the wires cut off (total waste).

There is only one problem with them though and that is finding them in any of B&O's shops, they are sold as soon as they come through the doors.

I wish they had online shops, no retailers near me.

50-20kHz? I have some cheap ones that go 20-20kHz. You lose a lot of bass with the B&O. Probably way expensive, too.

Raw frequency range and actual sound quality are two different things. I also doubt the cheap headphones are putting 20hertz out at a dB level loud enough to notice. Even if the B&O can't go as low, you can be sure that anything above 50 hertz is going to sound awesome.

Specs on mine are given as 20-20kHz +/- 3dB. That means that
throughout the freqency range, any one frequency will sound
half as loud or twice as loud as the others. This is the way hi-fi audio is spec'd. The human ear drops off the extreme bass and high frequencies, thus the bass enhancement. Most people can't hear above 17k-18kHz, but the frequencies above affect the harmonics. B&O didn't give the +/- spec. From and audiophile point of view, they are lo-fi. The best advice is get phones that sound good to YOU and are comfortable.

Hello Rick!

Specs sometimes don't tell the whole story and some even stretch things a bit. The B&O's without question are NOT cheap! In other forums, they are very popular, so there must be a reason. Additionally, B&O maybe more truthful in their specs and would be insulted otherwise not to meet their higher top shelf standards. I am only speculating here as I never listened to them.

I can't wear earbuds as they never fit or felt comfortable for me. I usually use my Sony MDR Turbos with foldup head band. The individual over the ear phones from N760C weren't bad.

Larry,
B&O is famous for their design, not specs. They have some awesome designs. But, their performance is way over-priced. You can have much better performance for the money. They have always been like that, since I was in high school some 20+ years ago. Just like Bose. They have some great designs, but your money can be spent more wisely while gaining performance.
