| if it does not boot with your original disk, press and hold the [center] button while booting
release when disk access light flashes
it will boot.

| PowerDrive Hi
I have it running well with 512 RAM on a Sandisk 4gb. there were issues with my Transcend 16gb CF card, it says it can't find boot disk, as well as the key code hiccups.
I am confident that Dimitry will find and fix the issues.
This is all pretty normal for a first release of this kind of hardware level programming.
512 RAM is sweet!

| i kinda figured there'd be issues...as long as people back up there data prior to performing this procedure they should be good...all in all im pleased with 512 on a 4 gig...well worth the money plus its not impossible to get a hold of the developer

And how can you get the hard reset working?
Just did the repartitioning again with a custom boot image and 512 MB. At first it was in a reset loop but after doing a quick hard reset, it works .
My boot image: http://www.fabi-s.de/palm/boot.bmp http://www.fabi-s.de/palm/boot.ini
If anyone likes it, feel free to use it.
Very nice App, looking forward to see your SDHC driver
An idea for later releases: the app could leave the OS.zip on the SD card instead of deleting it after restoring, so further repartitionings will be much faster (if thats possible). |

| Probably it is a good idea to make some statistics on failures and successes. This would help others to find the best way around it. Can you please post which card you used, what you did exactly and how many MBs of RAM you have now or tried to create if it failed. Also, please tell us about any improvements you see if it worked for you (i.e bigger DBcache, faster reboot etc.). Thanks. |

| Here's a question: I have a LD with a dead MD. Would I be able to "revive" the dead LD if I just plug in the MD from my "live" LD to the dead LD after I setup my live LD with the CF card using this app? (assuming the only thing wrong with the dead LD is the MD). This will save me some $$, as I was going to give the erstwhile dead LD to my son to play LJP on.
Also, after one reformats the CF card, will a Hotsync with "Backup from System" restore all my programs to the CF card?
Thanks, |
