 | ram resizing

so i found the partition table format in the MD
so you can now resize the size of the NVFS "RAM" from 64MB to anything under 2GB 
the practical upshot? you can use 6GB cfa card to have 2GB ram and 4GB internal drive
better yet - there is space for another internal partition to you can get a 10GB CF card and have 2 GB ram and TWO internal 4GB volumes
cool huh?

| is this theoretical or have you actually found a card gearter than 4 gig that works?
This kind of makes editing the rom to gain space seem insignificant. But... it will defineatly get a whole new slew of compatable card threads going !! | |

| well, i am currently working on getting a card with incompatible CHS wrking
i DID get my compatible 4GB card to show 128MB ram instead of 64

| Soooo... How about a simple start? resize my working 4GBCF card with 256K ram...
I know the advantage of having 8 gig storage but.... I'd like to see the realtime increase in performance to having 4x the ram. Can you explain the benefits? | |
