| My New Theme Project - OpenMoko! A while back a saw a screenshot of the OpenMoko platform, and was greatly impressed by its look an feel. So about a week or two ago, I started trying to make my TX look like this. Now this is a very young project, and it isn't even closed to being finished, but I wanted to show you all some of the first screenshots, and to hear your opinions on how it looks/if you like it. So here goes:
Tell me what you think! |

| It should work on any palm, but the Backgound, at this point in time, cannot be changed (The shadow after the icons cannot look like that in 16 bit displays, unless you use a "special" backgound like that). |

Thanks, it was surprisingly not that much work, but I still have to Start and finish a PalmRevolt Skin which IMHO is the hardest one. |

| Hi PCQ, do you use PalmRevolt too? You'de make the perfect beta tester, but I'm not nearly in the beta stage yet (pre-alpha). But I'll contact you when I'm looking for testers |

| Terrific!! I really like the colors and dimensionality and reflection. The status bar looks great too--you might consider more detail and/or color to the home, screen rotate, and button for raising the DIA--it would go better with the other detail I see throughout. The wifi and battery icons on the status bar look especially good! Keep up the good work |

| nice!!! very nice. The icons are looking extremely good. I know what you mean when you say that you need to use a selected type of backgrounds in order to have that smooth effect... I tried it myself
about the DIA (Statusbar), i think the icons are a bit to big? I dont know, but i rather preffert them little and centered in the statusbar (not thaaat little, but visible ).

These screenshots don't include any PalmRevolt skinning, so you could use it with your launcher of choice, PalmRevolt or SkinUI, or IconPlus
@dump71
To tell you the truth, it goes really nice on the device. The icons kind of "fade-to-black" the farther towards the bottom of the screen, and this is the effect I wanted. I really didn't want the statbar icons to be 3d, just more a dark Orange.
@Alex
I will, I was just doing a quick run-a-through all the 1src and BH members
@CP
I personally like the icons slightly bigger, but when flipped in Landscape, they are too big to have a two pixel orange line I'll have to do something abkout that.
@Everyone
Thanks for all the compliments, I'm glad to hear you all liked the look
Wow that was a lot of @'s |

| Thanks
CP, I kind of get what you mean by the icons being a little big, but I'm using two programs to combat that: Blackbordor, that colors the two pixels at the bottom of the screen black, and PinSkin2 that colors the two pixels at the top black, so instead of the Statbar being 28 pixels tall, it's more like 32 There is only one problem the Orange band at the top of the statbar isn't playing nice in Landscape, should I remove it? Would it still look good? |
