"Restore synchronization failed" when initializing warranty replacement TX
I replaced a TX with an identical model due to warranty replacement (Palm was decent about that actually, no hassle about the replacement). I had no s/w issues, so I hotysnced the new one according to the instructons. I had a couple failed attempts until I cleared a Com port issue (using usb sync cable) I got the following messages in the hotsync log:
It simply reported that ConnectionMgr50DB.PDB already exists. Unfortunate choice of the term failed.
"Restore synchronization failed" was the message displayed by the software in the hotsync log. Still, this one is also user error since I could have figured out that the .pdb in question didn't need to be replaced.
