| The 'GPhone' Android OS Google finally announced their plans for cellphones today - it's a conglomeration of phone companies preparing to use the Android (Linux-core, open-source) OS. Machines should appear end of '08. SPK out next week. http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/pos...os-android.html
So - what do you think? Will it work? Can they make a dent in the industry?
And most important, how long will it take for a hack to allow Android run a Garnet emulator?

| If HTC releases a phone with this, free of Microsoft WM, I might finally start getting interested in HTC phones.
So good to see another mobile OS choice |

| Might as well, I mean it seems like Android will be out before Palm OSII. Palm does have some google apps (well, Google Maps) so why not just have the google os as well.

| Palm has already stated they are not going Android.
Before you get all excited, remember that carriers are the customer. |

If Palm will be going Android, you should wait till 2009, no wait, that's just for you to realize then that there will be forever more 18 month delay announcements, until Palm drys out of funds.
Thus, Palm is already irreverent here. |

| T-Mobile and Sprint to release a phone in 2008. Can't wait. I was going to upgrade around the time of the Android release so guess I planned it out just right . I'll be watching and reading about it.

| hi Hello Everybody,
As the discussion is going on cheapest international cell phone rentals, I suggest you one of the serviceproviders I used in one of my recent visits to Canada. www.Internationalcellphone.com is a leading provider of i international cell phone , international sim card, prepaid cell phone service, unlocked gsm, cell phone rental and hundreds of other cellular and satellite products. There is no time like the present to start making cheap calls and saving money
I had a fairly decent experience using their service...
Regards
Cheers !!!
