| Photopro Concept Hi guys,
I saw a couple of threads regarding new good themes that are being created by fellow skinners . I didnt want to stay there with empty hands and decided to show what i've been working on since past month. The icons are what are causing so much delay, they are really a pain in the arse. I have already the skin for PalmRevolt, MySkin, and Appshelf launcher. You can grab the MySkin skin in the freeware section.
It is going to be like my first package i did, Turn2PalmOSX 2, but i dont have an idea of what name i should put on it.
The theme is based on the Photopro15 GUI by Palli Svansson with some Cold1.2 touches, (inspired on the pickupjojo desktop ss @DA; thanks to dragonsgames for providing me with some screenies ); the wallpaper is a mod of Hardwood lights wallpaper; the icons are a combination between the Photopro originals, the ecqlipse touch of reflections, and my personal in-frame image touch.
I must say i am not used to such a set up, specially for the icons but lets see if i adpat slowly. I really dont like it THAAAT much, but hey, it looks different and that is cool .
Tell me guys what you thing about it, maybe i finish it sooner than later

| Looks nice! May I give a couple suggestions? The pink font is a little iffy for me, I would use another color. And I think the top toolbar, and statusbar backgounds should be a little darker, to match the icons/overall theme. And one question, I know that launcher is Appshelf, does it allow you to change the icons, or is that IconPlus? If it's iconplus why was it hard to make the iconset? |

| Thanks for the comments BrentDC!
For the pink font, i dont notice it that much, cuz i thought it was like the "default" color for the Modules. I will try other combinations, thanks.
The suggestion about the tool/statusbars will take it into account. It was in fact the other way around, that I wanted the icons to match with the theme but then again, i lose the feeling of glossyness, somehow. It was hard to match the exact transparency of every layer in to create the icons. That was also the reason why it was kind of difficult.
They are on an IconPlus package
They needed to have a reflection (photopro defaults dont have it) and then go inside the frame i created; then resize them to palm default sizes and save them to their respective bmp format. And all this, i dont know if you have any other idea, but i cant do it in massive numbers. I mean, i need to convert and save every single bmp every time, cant do something like a batch thing to do them all at once, wich would be just fantastic!

| I used "Easy Image Converter" when I created an iconset. It allows you to resize, and change the format of any number of icons at once. You can select a whole folder full of icons, and it change the format, and resize them all in one step! Instead of it taking an hour, to do it manually, it takes like 30 seconds. |

| Oh, I forgot it can change any format to JPG, I don't think it can change to BMP though (the input can be BMP) |

| Looks very nice. How do I go about getting the skins? Do I need a special program? I'm a newbie on this skins stuff. Is it free?

| BrentDC: i use PFCD to compile the icons plus package. thats why is knda slow when editing... not batch files there for such an operation.
@shaker: programs are not free, the skins are, mine at least. Though, im still considering to charge an amount in palmgear as a "donate" option. It will remain free at 1src of course
@dump71: thanks! i would like to ask you, do you think i shoul make the icons brighter or the them darker?
i persnaly think the icons brighter... let me know what ya think...

| I just "turned" the other day! Nice work as usual. I wanted to say that I like the new statusbar images especially. Very consistent across the center. Again, nice job! I might just turn again.
