| Treo 680 screen goes white for no reason. My treo 680 is doing this for no reason.
It happens in several programs, so I cnŽ't point one out as the cause.
I can turn it on and off, and it sounds like it is working, but the olny way to come back is to softreset it.
Can someone help me with this? |

| An application may be causing this - Hotsync ur data , perform a hard reset , rename backup folder found in your username folder (c:/program files/ palm/ username) and sync back - check if problem occurs again - if not - time to find the culprit app.

| Treo 680 screen white?- call yourself! I just had the problem of a white screen on my Treo 680. It was on the charger where I usually keep it overnight. No new applications have been added for months and none of those used recently either. Suddenly, about 7am Saturday morning, I heard a tone
from the Treo. When I looked at the screen, it was blank, white. Like it was on but I had not pressed the On Button. I turned it off and back on again. Normally, I get my Main screen with my icons but this time nothing. After repeated attempts, I decided to do a soft reset the only way I have ever done one by removing the battery to no avail. The screen would show the normal opening sequence of screens the orange Palm icon with the advancing black bar, the blue Palm OS Access screen and then a white screen with a series of dots where I would normally type my password.
I searched this site and others to see if there were similar problems and solutions. I found similar problems but the only solution seemed to be a hard reset. I was somewhat hesitant about doing that so finally,
I tried dialing my Treo from my home phone.
It worked! The Treo rang, the screen came on, I pressed answer and ended the call, pressed the Home button and was back in business.
I am surprised that no one else has reported this problem. May want to try this before a hard reset. |

| Thanks for the info! I haven't had this problem. But your method of bringing it out of a locked-up state, sounds like one of those tools to keep in the back of your mind. |

I think you should use [CleanStart] this little diagnostic tool to stop all
program before it loading to your treo680.
And add them individually to see which App would do this harm. |
