Cool antenna problem?

hi, havent been on in a while, TX was broke, came across it the other day and decided to buy a new digitizer/lcd screen, found one for like $35 (USD)..grabbed it, got it yesterday..put it in all is great...after sitting in a draw for close to 2yrs, I didnt lose a damn thing..just had to reset the clock..now I have to reload all the stuff the TX still thinks is on the SD card, which of course I have used/reused that SD card a million times in 2yrs...the question is..I used to be able to connect to my router in a heartbeat..now I cant, I am thinking that when I reassembled the unit yesterday, the wi-fi antenna which is located in the top removable bezel some how is not fully connecting to the motherboard properly...there is a little spring like connector located in the bezel which is just supposed to touch the motherboard..maybe it isnt touching hard enough...think I should take it apart again and maybe bend that clip a very little for a better contact?...

Actually, the WiFi antenna does not have a spring-like connector in the bezel. The antenna is just a small, oblong strip of gold (or gold-plated metal) with green insulation. This antenna is located in the top plastic panel (the removable panel that houses the holes for the SD slot, the headphones and the power switch), just below the SD slot. Probably you accidentally bent this strip and now it fails to make contact with the mainboard. Try straightening this strip, and if needed, glue it with a drop of super glue to the panel, but make sure you don't spill any glue on the contact area (exposed metal), else you'll prevent good electrical contact. Also, check the corresponding place in the mainboard (opposite side of the SD slot), there you will find a small golden spring contact. Try to stretch it a little bit to make sure it contacts the antenna.

I think the spring-like clip you're seeing is the one that holds the stylus in place. It's the only spring-like device in the TX's bezel.
