Sorry about the SOS but can someone please help me out with a touch screen problem on my Lifedrive. I purchased this Lifedrive when they first came out and have lived with the hd lag, etc.. No real problems other than the lag and the occasional freeze up. Today I went to change out the Palm screen protector and noticed afterwards that I could not get my touch screen to work.
I have removed the screen protector film and tried to re synch the screen but it has literally gone bonkers. Can't get the touch screen to synch what so ever. Any suggestions or is this how a Lifedrive goes legs up?
Can't say I am please with Palm and their decision once more to pull the rug out from under their users. At least discontinue their Lifedrive users. Any help with the screen synch issue would be appreciated.

Reason: no responce to help request
I had this problem once... you need to take a screen protector and use the corner to dislodge some grit or other foreign object (beard hair, don't laugh!) from under the edge of the screen. this is causing th touch screen to be tickled constantly in that one spot.
... if that doesn't help ... you can dis-assemble the LD and do a real good cleaning
aka.bugle -- I ran a thin piece of paper under the lip of the Lifedrive touch screen frame and low and behold found a spec of hard debris. Problem solved!
I can not thank you enough as I was one step away from dropping down $129.00 to exchange mine for a refurb or looking for a non existant Palm mobile manager to replace it with. After going through with your suggestion I did a better search under Palms site on "before you send it in for repairs" and found similar information on correcting "touch screen target looping" at the following address: http://kb.palm.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=PalmSupportKB,ts=Palm_External20 01,Case=obj(24443).
Thank you again.
PS: Do you have a Lifedrive and if you do how is the "voice recorder" audio quality. Mine sounds like I'm talking in a wind tunnel. Any suggestions on correcting that??
Ahhhh.... nice! I Love a good wind tunnel sound!!! check my avatar!
get a torx mini driver rip the sucker apart ( there's all kind of help w pix out there in net land. the mic might have its black foam cushion dislodged, or the wire connector for the mic may need to be reseated. ( or its just your ears ???)
its hard to say with out a comparative test against another LD. Mine seems ok!
